The Venturing Oath

As a Venturer, I promise to do my duty to God and help strengthen America, to help others,
and to seek truth, fairness, and adventure in our world.

The Venturing Code

As a Venturer, I believe that America's strength lies in our trust in God and in the courage,
strength, and traditions of our people.

I will, therefore, be faithful in my religious duties and will maintain a personal sense of honor in my own life.

I will treasure my American heritage and will do all I can to preserve and enrich it.

I will recognize the dignity and worth of all humanity and will use fair play and goodwill in my daily life.

I will acquire the Venturing attitude that seeks truth in all things and adventure on the
frontiers of our changing world.

Council Venture Roundtable

Tracy Segan’s Crew is hosting Roundtable at her church
in Union County. At this Roundtable, we will discuss all of
the upcoming events for the 2008/2009 calendar. We
will have BBQ to eat and it will be very informative. Every
Crew should have at least one representative present.
Central NC Council Yahoo Group

Please take a moment to register for our Yahoo Group.
It is our primary communication tool for upcoming
events, sharing unit information and planning.
Many of you have already joined, but we do not have
representation from all crews at the group.
Please contact Glenn Jones if you have difficulty
registering for the site.
Training

If you have not received training, please contact our
Council Venture Chairman Glenn Jones. We are not
planning on putting on another Council Wide Training
until October 4th. You can receive online
Fast Start Training at scouting.org.
Note: All crews interested in being up to date on events and trainings should forward our Venture
Chairman and staff advisor an e-mail contact. Youth leadership should forward their contact information to
our Council Venture President. (Key leadership would be advisor, president and secretary)
